CELLO
Jonathan Villegas is a dynamic Mexican-American performer, having been featured as a soloist, orchestral, and chamber musician in front of a variety of ensembles from bands to orchestras, early to contemporary music, including a myriad of styles from Classical to Jazz and Latin American, all throughout the US.
From symphony orchestras, to bands and opera, Jonathan has an extensive background as a section cellist and soloist, has performed throughout Texas with the Conroe and the Woodlands Symphony Orchestras, and also throughout the West Coast with The Rogue Valley Symphony in Ashland, Oregon and North State Symphony in Chico, California.
Villegas is currently performing with the Greenspring Valley Symphony Orchestra in Maryland, and a Low-Strings Teaching Artist with Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's OrchKids.
As a cellist, Jonathan has been featured as a soloist and wind ensemble musician throughout the Northwest, having most recently performed in the Western Band International Clinic in 2022, and toured throughout Portland, OR as a soloist and clinician to local high school and colleges with the Portland State University Chamber Winds in 2023.
